What records provide
The records engine gives OpenNeko a governed place for operational data that does not already have a suitable system of record. Apps receive generated list, detail, and form routes under /a/[app].
- Schema history and field-level structure.
- Permissions and identity mapping.
- Lists, detail pages, forms, and watchers.
- Recycle-bin behavior for recoverable deletion.
- CSV import with preview before the import starts.
Good uses
- A queue of operating exceptions that need ownership and resolution.
- A supplier, asset, inspection, or handoff register with a small custom workflow.
- A reviewed output produced by AI before it is sent to another system.
Import and remove
openneko records import --file <csv> --object <object>
openneko records import --dir <artifact> --app <app>Preview the field mapping and validation result before starting an import. Keep a copy of the source CSV until row counts and rejected rows have been reviewed.
Dropping an object is deliberately explicit and destructive. Back up first, then type the exact confirmation string.
openneko records drop --app <app> --object <object> --confirm 'DROP <app>.<object>'
